PR vs the FPTP history of BC - Vlog 3, The Street Professor /Mike Cleven

This one covers a LOT.... a short history since the party system was foisted on us, and the pendulum swings since and the thwarting of democracy since including the crimes of the WAC Bennett government and how it gained office via the elimination ballot then reversed it by Order-in-Council, and also the Gordo Giveaways post-2001.

It's also primarily, though, about the constitutional right to vote and how those who were excluded by the un-fairness of the mail-out ballot DO want to vote and now are mobilizing.  This is also about the 39.5% who allegedly are indifferent to politics.

Gotta go, too many things to do before I head to Victoria, which I'd been hoping to do today, as time is of the essence and what I've already vlogged will be uploaded later... feel free to soundbite me when I start talking to those who need to vote and various lines that would be useful to post as shorter clips, as each video covers a wide range of topics - always coming back to unfair how much FPTP politics has been unfair, and how the referendum is unfair and MUST be extended.

I call out John Horgan about that, and also salute my inspirations, Joel McCarthy, Ryan Hadfield of Rare Earth, the Nomadic Professor, and the History Guy, all on youtube, and also excellent and, like me, rambling histories of places all over the earth and this continent..... I've tuned them into lots they might cover here and around Canada and the Pacific Northwest and native Canada, and will be covering a lot of all of that in the long run.

But right now we need to win the referendum so please keep the people movement of the excluded-who-are-now voting going and call or tweet the premier and Elections BC that for the referendum to be fair, the deadline must be considerably extended, I say the 31st as explained in many videos as to why, and more outreach.. including translated versions of the ballot and referendum info in all six (seven?) major minority/new languages for older citizens among the minorities and likewise new-citizens in those groups....and balloting stations put where people who have a right to vote can EASILY get to them e.g. campuses, outreach centres like the Carnegie or the homeless shelters ("go to Services BC for them" is often not a comfortable thing... but many I've told about it are gonna be brave and put up with how people look/ try not to look at them and they DO - *DO* - want to take part in the effort to make a better democracy and a fairer society in BC, they are the ones hurt by FPTP politics the MOST.

So if you see someone with a cart or a bag, offer to watch it for them while you watch their stuff.... same with kids on the streets... someone younger than this hoary old man pls go to the teen shelter in Yaletown.... I talk to 19s and up all the time and they are now MOTIVATED and they have a fast grapevine like the street people do..... and want to learn from me, and also know t hey have to take charge of their future by mobilizing to vote for PR, and so is our also-excluded `rainbow population`- and also the street and the shelters.

I`ll move mountains to see this passed, and will not stop talking about what I know for the benefit of the new and the young and everyone else until BC has a fair democracy.... and Canada likewise..... PR is our tool for de-colonization and reforming our government away from dictatorship-by-first minister.

Join with me in mobilizing the voters who yet need to vote and let us turn this into a deluge of votes by the 39.5% the business-propaganda pollster and media pundits say don`t want  to vote... oh yeah huh - izzat soÉÉÉ
