why the Cannabis Legalization Act is really the Cannabis Regulation Act and what it really is - a money-grab for conservative money to lockdown control of marijuana revenues just like the liquor companies locked down the booze industry after Prohibition.



And why it's such a farce, giving too much latitude to provinces and municipalities to restrict access to marijuana.... and why the black market is more than happy about all this....



and why marijuana liberalization will be, or can be, a huge p;art of the next BC provincial election campaign... and proposal for a Marijuana Normalization Act.

The Metis Fiddle with Trent Freeman and Ry Moran

Nice explanation and demo of why Metis fiddle is its own style and some great playing by this young guy from Comox BC. Very much part of the North-West, i.e. Riel's Nord-Ouest beyond the Lakes that Canada conquered.  But Metis music was not conquered and thrives across Metis communities... where this kid is from or where he learned to play that may be from family.... he's probbly Metis. This is hot stuff.  This is also the rockin' fiddle jive that would have been played in the voyaguer camps across the long route by York Boat onde a year to/from Fort  Vancouver, the famous Express (or was famous) carrying the fur company's books and outbound furs for York Factory on Hudson Bay and on to London... or down the the Rainy River from Lake of the Woods to Lake Superior and Fort William, where Port Arthur became established once Northwestern Ontario became a colony of Upper Canada after the taking of force by the OPP Rat Portage, and renaming it Kenora... This one covers a LOT.... a short history since the party system was foisted on us, and the pendulum swings since and the thwarting of democracy since including the crimes of the WAC Bennett government and how it gained office via the elimination ballot then reversed it by Order-in-Council, and also the Gordo Giveaways post-2001. It's also primarily, though, about the constitutional right to vote and how those who were excluded by the un-fairness of the mail-out ballot DO want to vote and now are mobilizing.  This is also about the 39.5% who allegedly are indifferent to politics.
